I'm putting this up as an interest check mainly because I don't currently have a sturdy enough box to ship it in, and it may take me a few days or more to find one.
Anyway, this is an Infrant (now NetGear) ReadyNAS NV+ that was originally sold by slim devices to go with the squeezeboxes. It does have the SB server software installed, but it is very versatile and does not require a squeezebox. This one has very low hours on it plus has 4 Seagate Barracuda IV 400gb drives in X-RAID configuration for a total storage capacity of just over 1 tb. Drives are hot-swappable in case of failure, and you can switch to higher capacity drives if you like. This is also the unit with 1 GB of memory, not the 256 mb version.
Price will be $375 firm with shipping in loer 48 and no paypal fees to the buyer.
Unit was very reliable, but I'm using individual high-capacity drives at each system now and don't need a central server.
