what about amps? i often read that for example amplifier X with let's say 60 wpc has the same S/N like amplifier Y with 180 wpc@4ohm. both are transistor amps.
am i correct that the less power an amp can offer the easier it is to reach low S/N ??

is it in general 'compareable' ?

Hi Alex,

With amps it's a 'mature' measurement so I think comparisons are a lot easier to cross reference from magazine to magazine whereas digital measurements (especially jitter) are still very new.
