A model shoot at my wood shop
« on: 10 Aug 2009, 08:56 pm »
Some days I just get lucky. Miguel Folch, a local Tucson photographer, asked if he could use my wood shop for a model shoot. The photos in the link are just some of the shots from that session. The model is Katie Palmer with hair and makeup by Heggy Gonzalez.

Although there are no nude photos of Katie, the shots could be considered a little risque for the office.

Some really interesting lighting choices, very cool. And of course gives a different meaning hard wood.

So based on the choice of tools I'd say we're supposed to note that this model looks uhhh... Chiseled. aa

Very Nice aa
It's nice to work with professionals. She will have to stand pretty tall to compete with your great woodworking skills.

Well...at 6'-4" tall in heels she competes very well , if Katie posed next to one of my doors which one would you notice first? I'll try to find out, currently I'm working on a 9' tall entry, it would be great to get Katie and the photo crew out to shoot the finished entry way.

I hate to say it, but her choice of wardrobe may not offer sufficient protection for woodworking.  I remember one time in shop class the teacher was running the table saw in just her bra and panties (casual friday) and a chip flew off and damaged her cleavage.  It wasn't serious, but she still required a few stitches.  Safety first!

I must be gay as I find myself spending more time and effort looking in the background at the woodworking stuff.
Yea, she's attractive, but...between her and the wood shop...I'll pick the wood shop.

p.s. Off Topic ---- Wayne, I've been wanting to send you a PM regarding the black epoxy you use to fill the voids in your tables and doors. If you'd be so kind, please email or PM the information about what it is, and where to get small quantities.
Thank you very much!!

Bob, if you say you're gay, who am I to disagree?  Did you tell your long-suffering wife yet?

FWIW, I'd take the woodshop, too.

The lady is the style but the tools are the substance.  The maker already made her a fine example of the human form.  Those tools give man a chance to craft something just as beautiful.

 Quite possibly true Wayne.

But back to the topic at hand... That's pretty neat that your shop was picked for a photo shoot. Very cool.
