If there was any doubt about the Yankees-Red Sox being the best rivalry in baseball, last night's 5 1/2 hour, 15 inning marathon should put that debate to rest.
This game had a playoff like atmosphere from the first pinch and that intensity was there throughout the entire game. Burnett and Beckett showed while they are both front line pitchers and the respective bullpens did a great job as well.
While I certainly like the final outcome, it genuinely was a shame somebody had to lose such a game.
This afternoon's game looks like there is a substantial advantage for the Yankees, but I have learned over the years, that baseball, more than any other support is unpredictable.
