I have a KLH sub that had a problem with the amp. Crappy design and no support from KLH had forced me to just buy a new amp. I went with a Dayton SA240-B 240W Subwoofer Amplifier with Boost. Nothing special and it has some very good customer feedback.
For my Bday, my wife got me 2 of the Aura Pro Bass Shakers. It's a tactile transducer (Power handling: 50 watts RMS/100 watts max *Impedance: 4 ohms *Usable frequency response: 20 to 80 Hz *Fs: 40 Hz *Force peak: 30 lbs. per ft.)
Here is what I want to do...
The KLH sub is 120 watts, 8ohms. I was thinking about wiring the 2 bass shakers in series, making them 8 ohms, Then I was going to wire those with the KLH sub in parallel, putting the whole setup at 4 ohms. The Dayton amp will run 240 watts @ 4ohms. By my combining the 3 speakers, is there formula I should know about the combined wattage? or is it just add the 3 for a total? What are your thoughts about the wiring?
