I thought the thread was about the cool stuff that we find inside of used records! Lots of seeds in Pink Floyd gatefold LP's.

Probably the best bonus I have seen recently is the Neil Young Blu-Ray archives comes with a full MP3 download. I believe that they up'ed the resolution from 192 to 320...not sure though.

Also, Mudcrutch's LP included that "audiophile" CD inside with a different mix/mastering than the commercial CD. Very good sound!

Interesting topic, Josh.  I've often wondered this myself, but never thought to ask about it in a thread.    Based upon my recent purchases, I've found:

I'm sure there are others I just can't recall right now.   Maybe if this thread gets a lot of good recommendations it can become a sticky, so I don't have to search for it. aa

Sorry if I'm repeating something already mentioned but Cold Play "Viva La Vida" and Mudcrutch (Tom Petty) both come with "audiophile mastered" CD's in them.  And these CD's ARE significantly better than the commercially released CD's, IMO.

doesn't really matter much though because my turntable and associated equipment is finally sounding real nice. better than cd player...

Thanks for the tip.  I have the CDs and need to pick up the LPs, particularly with the "bonus".  Mudcrutch sounds pretty good, and a great record.  Coldplay's mastering is really frustrating, though.  I think that most of them sound horribly compressed.
