Models: Hot or not?
« on: 5 Aug 2009, 02:25 pm »
The racy images have been removed from here :nono:
You can still see them at http://www.nuforce.biz/gallery/Model%20Ad/index.html

Now this is what we want:

I will post more on the not so public link above as we accumulate them. Only family oriented photos are allowed on the new website, going live September 1st.

Images are a bit small, but the contrast looks cranked up too far in the second and third images. Too many things competing for attention in the first image.

Thanks for feedback. It was a quick shoot without much planning or thinking. Just playing around. There are many more photos but these three were done first after Photoshop editing.

I don't mind the high contrast at all; I think it has the requisite edgy, punky look. First image is cheeky enough to require an equally mischievous tagline, IMHO (can't think of a good one, though!). Third image has probably the widest appeal, as it shows the Icon in use and not as an outright advertisement -- plus the model isn't making me weak by looking straight at me -- while being still compelling enough to attract the eye. Second image needs better design, as the picture isn't strong enough by itself. For example, it would work better if it more closely featured the model, like certain ads out there by a company starting with "V" ....

If you mean to replace the standard NuForce print ad with something like this, I definitely agree that more people would notice it!

Lucky iPhone indeed.

I would prefer a model without all the graffiti.

That is not just a personal preference, it is also agreement with JohnR--too many things competing for attention. But in my case, I think too many things competing for attention in all the shots, not just the first one.

1st shot is hot.  2nd and 3rd...  not so much.
I don't mind the ink, and in the first shot it doesn't draw too much attention like it does in the next two.
both the second and third shots look a bit frumpy to me (both the model and the rig)  bad t-shirt... would be better all black.  iPhone/amp rig looks too big and clunky clipped to a petite girl like that.  For shots like the last two the model should be very tall.  The model is hot, but the product seems to get in the way.  The third shot would work as a head shot for just the headphones...  Even though the car is hot you should loose it, nobody should be listening to headphones and driving, you shouldn't even make the association.

all three elements are hot... by themselves.

Okay critique done.

Great feedback. We piggy back on a racy photo session in the last minute so the model did not bring the right cloths. Well she has a whole collection of bikinis and stockings etc. Those cloths were off after our photo shoots. I was too busy checking out Nuforce product shots and didn't watch closely (also not cool to stay close to distract the photographer). But from a distance, there were some very hot pose.

Actually, I like the car (yours too, Jason?). A picture of a hot chick leaning against a hot ride, bobbing her head to music from a hot red headphone and amp, is pretty compelling to me :D. Plus, compared to those sexy Vincent ads, where the picture bears almost no relation to the product ... at least these are in context!

So maybe they're not perfect, but they are at least way better than current NuForce print ads, IMHO. Actually, they're better than many ads in a lot of hifi rags, to be honest. I might go easy on the tats, though, so another vote in that direction.

I like the first and third...the second one is a bit too distant...harder to discern the products being advertised. Still, I like where you are going with these!  8)

First one, but she needs to lose the tats IMO.

She's a tattoo artist so that's her personality ;).  I was told she's also a dive master, dance instructor and author.
She's pretty cool.
Ok, next week we are doing photo shoots with different model (ha ha ha, the "good girl" look).
By the way, that car in the photo was a Ferrari F430 Scuderia.  You have to be invited by Ferrari to buy that car
So we are pretty lucky to have some generous friends who let us do the photo shoot for free.

God dam?n Jason  :? First I thought you refer with your thread title to a technical issue like for example heat production in your amps :D
But here is my humble opinion for your hot picture. I found her very beautiful. Especially in 1st picture. The optimal acting for your target group - covering the ages 16 - 20.
The 2 and 3rd picture are not pleasing me. Unprofessional acting to me anyhow. And a bit less
tatoos would be better ...

O.K. as the thread pictures have been changed now my second opinion:

much better than the first ones !! I am not the man in that advertising or target group research business but I think that?s going to the right direction.

The new one is nice...  looks like she is enjoying her tunes.

...I'm still partial to the old "first" shot.    something about it really makes me want to play with her gadget...  err, I mean the one she is holding.

Not a big fan of any of these.

Thoughts:  In pic 1 the pose is way too forced the way she is holding it between her legs.  In 2 and 3 the gear does look kind of large.  A taller, leggier model would  help that, as someone else suggested.  4 is OK, but hardly exciting.  I don't mind the ink, but I'd maybe like a better look at some of her more interesting work.  Give me a reason to spend more time with the ad.

:nono: you are a bad, bad boy. :nono: ... but ...I wished I was the gadget in her hands :thumb:
Don?t know if the Icon Mobile was purposefully placed in her pelvis region to make people make this after seen her:

I like the new shot, but I'm looking at the girl more then the gear. Enjoyable, but not so good for sales.

That depends on if you are this  type or that  type ... hahhahaa. Let?s be serious:
possibly you are right. The product acts anyhow surpressed
But you have to admit that they chose in the other pictures a grey coloured sports car to punctuate the (red) product and not the the car. I also thought if it?s O.K. to present any car but I could fail in my suggestion because I am really not sure. This ferrari matches very good with the highend line of Nuforce but anyhow it could also speak to the lower budget target groups ...
