Thanks for the posts guys.  Several people are willing to sell new ones for $1350 and so I'm treating that as the current "street price" for a new one.  Unfortunately I can't stretch to that just now, hence my interest in a used one.

the cheapest i've ever seen a used transporter go for was around $1250 so you're unlikely to do much better than $1350. the one being sold by richard_stacy has been listed several times. maybe you could lowball him, but i suspect you should just save your pennies. fwiw, if you can't stretch to $1350, you'll never be able to pick up a modwright transporter as they rarely come up for sale and when they do, it's in the high $2000 range.
