Can't afford to drop a few thou on a Joule-Electra preamp (current tariff is $6,500) but still want a ticket to the ball, Cinderella? Here is an earlier version of the highly regarded Joule pre, the LA-75, which has been checked out top to bottom and given a fresh brace of electrolytic caps by one of the best tube amp makers out there.
Uses two 5751/12AX7 tubes; has four inputs and two outputs, tape monitor, off/standby/operate/mute switch, and balance control; comes with good pair of GE 5751.
In excellent condition: faceplate is clean, everything else looks good, a small rub or two in the paint on a couple edges of the top plate.
Please note: this pre produces unity gain, so is not for a system that needs a large boost from a preamp. It's a great match for source/amp that are on the strong side and need some attenuation and fine adjustment in gain. This is the pre for you if that's your rigging.
