I'm trying to work out what to sell in order to finance my next great step along the path to audio nirvana. If you might be interested in a squeezebox 2 that comes with a little sprinkling of Wayne's magic, let me know by PM. The mods were to the analogue output stage, with some fancy bypass capacitors or something - I'll dig around to see if I can find a description of exactly what was done. The power supply is of the original "basic" variety that Wayne put together, and comes with the Bolder umbilical.
I've had the unit in use now for about three years. It's in pretty good cosmetic condition, apart from some cracking that has developed in the case close to the RCA outs on the back of the unit. This has no impact on the sonic performance of the unit. I'm tempted simply to apply some epoxy to seal the cracks up. But given my complete lack of handiness, this might be a job best left for the next owner of the unit.
I'll get some pictures up pretty soon. But please let me know if you might be interested in this. I'm not committed to selling it yet, but your enthusiasm to get your hands on it might push me over the edge. I'd be hoping to get $350 for this, which would cover paypal fees and shipping anywhere in the CONUS.
