I recently bought a nude (sans cabinet) MR78 from a McIntosh dealer for $1200.
I figured I've give you folks first crack before I go to a broader audience.
It's in good shape...little bit of corrosion around the fuse cover on the rear, RCA outs need some polishing and there are some bubbles in the sensitivity readouts but everything works, new bulbs...etc. and includes original manual, panlocs and mounting template.
The dealer packed it in a McIntosh double box so I can ship it confidently if necessary.
Based upon what I've seen from Audio Classics I'm figuring $900 is more than a fair asking price.
