Hi James and other knowledgeable Bryston users. . .

Dumb questions, perhaps, but. . .

I'm using a 4B-ST and a 3B-SST2 (both with 19" faceplates and rackmount holes) as the MF and HF amps in an active tri-amped system. I would like to rackmount them. But can I do so simply mounting them by the faceplates, or do they require brackets at the rear as well (as is the case with my MC2 power amp)?

An unrelated question: When I engage upsampling on my BDA-1 a yellow light turns on. From the manual I understood (or misunderstood) that this was supposed to be a green light. Am I just confused or is there some issue with my BDA-1?

Thanks in advance for the clarifications.

Joel Tatelman.

Hi Joel,

The light will be amber (yellow) or green depending on the incoming bit stream - so no issue with your BDA-1

Yes you can rack mount the 3B and 4B just with the faceplates - no bracket required.
