SAS 10A -- SOLD
« on: 9 Jul 2009, 04:58 pm »
I am selling my SAS 10A preamp. I purchased it new from Steve in February 2005. It was unused from April 2007 until about 1 month ago as I moved and was in temporary housing until our home in Chicago sold. It is in great condition (8 or 9 out of 10 on A'gon). I have the manual and box from SAS. Asking 750 plus shipping. I will post in on Agon as well later this week. You can check my feedback there under EHoehn.

The reason I am selling is I have upgraded to the 11A

I used to own a SAS 10A and it was a very sweet sounding Tube preamp
.Steve Sammet builds some very fine preamps .someone should snag this preamp because they will not be dissapointed and it cant be surpassed even at the retail price.good luck with your sale....WCW III

Steve has also agreed to honor the balance of the warranty (til Feb 2010) to the new owner

This is a nice deal...back in 2006 I took one for a spin...and to a few Rave's...and did a review...

To try to sum this up....I found the 10A...enjoyable, dynamic, detailed, tight bass, good build quality, you are there midrange, smooth highs, nice feel to the controls, looked better in person than the shot on the website, quiet-no hum, no congestion on complex music....all in all...

I Liked It !!!

Good luck with it's sale... :thumb:

You'd be VERY hard pressed to find a better pre for this price. If you want to get into the upper part of the high end reasonably, this is a steal IMO.
