I was trying to use an external DAC (PS Audio PWD) with the coaxial output BDP-S500 > PS PWD and my lock was 44.1 ..... Hmmm, does anyone know if I can get 192 or 96 out of the coaxial on a BDP-S500 Blue Ray player? Was trying to listen to the Neil Young archive Vol 1 which has 24/192 tracks. Seems I was downsampled to 16/44.1

So, any suggestions on a good Blue Ray player with coaxial and or AES/EBU that will pass the 24/192 with no issue to my external DAC?

Thanks!

The Blu-Ray spec is 48k max from coax/toslink.  24/192 is only available via HDMi or processed internally (and sent out analog).
