Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

What gives, guys?  This one's been out a week or two already and not a single review?  The critics were unsparing in their criticisms, piling great heaps of scorn on the flick but I figure this one is "review proof" as far at the pro reviewers are concerned.

Have any of you guys seen the movie yet?

Hi,

I thought it was great.  Probably better than the first one and it looks like there will be another sequel.

Didn't work for me as well as the first.  I could sit through it and it was enjoyable at times.  Mainly the humor with the family.  Overall, I thought it to be grossly overblown.  Whenever the transformers were on the screen too much it just bogged down for me.  The battle scenes, especially the last one was too long.  Unlike the first I had a hard time following the fighting sequences.  The Megan Fox stuff was just too cheesy hollywood "oh Isn't she so hot."  I found myself rolling my eyes whenever she was on screen and the whole relationship stuff was a bore.  My initial response would be " a pile of crap" because I felt like they were really insulting my intellingence (from the first 2 minutes on.)  But it did have a few amusing moments.  Bad sequel and I won't go see another in the theater if they make one.  I can appreciate the work involved on a technical level but that's mostly it.

Geez, could it have been worse than the first one?     A whole lot of money thrown at making these movies but not much of the vision thing...

I liked it, but there were too many 'nether region' jokes and they were all similar.  :nono:

I deserve what I got for going to this dreadful movie.  Walked out at the end with a headache and a bad taste in my mouth.  :?  And I'm a big sci-fi fan.

They needed to edit out at least 50-60 minutes of garbage and (Spoiler!) completely get rid of every scene involving that old-timer transformer found in the museum, who kept giving long, looooong, monotonic narrative lectures that could put a hummingbird to sleep.

Urg, I think I'm done with any more Michael Bay movies.

I liked this movie....but then again, I like girls, specifically, Megan Fox.  The detail work she was doing on the motorcycle was inspiring!

One minute in the Smithsonian, out the backdoor and in the western US at an aircraft graveyard, then in the desert on sand and the next minute driving on paved roads.  Whew.  Kinda hard to put that together.  But a fun movie that went along quickly.

One thing for sure, the technical aspect of this film was excellent. Kudos to the folks who devoted countless man hours to achieve the photorealistic renderings of the protagonists. Even the fight choreography was very good. The sound design wasn't too shabby either. I just wish the Cinema I watched it in didn't play everything too darned loud. You guys are lucky in the States, your regulators take the hearing of patrons seriously.

As for the plot and character development....well.... it's a movie about alien talking vehicles based on a line of toys for goodness sakes. What's there to expect? It was already two hours long. I'll take the action scenes over 30 more minutes of freshman angst thank you very much.

I wasn't a fan either, I even left my home theater to go see it for the wife.  Another 15.00 out of pocket to see something that I didn't really care for.  This is the first time in a while I didn't have to tell someone Else's kid to be quiet.  The first one had something that resembled a story this one "explosion Meagan Fox, Explosion Meagan Fox....".  It did have cool special effects and some decent jokes but all in all a 5/10 for me.

Me and my brother went to see it.
Well, there was Megan Fox as mentioned, the little robot humping Megan's leg...
And it has to be said, that was the most funny moment in the film!!!
"Who's your little autobot! Say my name say my name!!! ..."
I mean the entire theatre broke out into a total laugh frenzie!!!

Right... Big robots - very fun movie!!!
