Just received in the mail the current TAS issue (#194) and JV (Jonathan Valin) has reviewed the Odyssey Khartago Amp under the title "Diamond In The Rough" as stated in the upcoming section. It will appear in the next issue of The Absolute Sound...way to go Klaus...

Why haven't the monoblock extremes ever been reviewed? Those and the Kismets would be nice to read about.

edit: Speaking of Kismet, what's the word on the pre-amp? In production?

JV had a Khartago blog going on avguide.com for a while.  Turned into a juvenile debate with an Emotiva fanboy.  I'm sure JV will have good things to say, but agree it would be nice if he had a taste of the upgrade path available w/i Odyssey.

I think he's saying that issue #194 has a blurb saying that it will be in the next issue (#195).

Not only the review was great reading...but also the Khartago amp was included in their 2009 Editors' Choice Awards!  Sweet...

Yep.  Worst case scenario.  Or best,  depending on your point of view.
We have had already more than enough to do.  With the orders from the review itself now it is pure and sheer madness  !!!!!!!!!!!   Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aargh.
Hehehe,  feeling good,  thank you very much.  Seriously,  the main and only reason why we haven't had that many reviews,  and why I essentially rejected 10 inquiries per year is because of the fact that our business has been very stable for years.  And now it is definitely out of whack.  Worst,  several customers who got their mostly Khartagos are already coming back for upgrades,  mostly monos.     Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

Well,  but of course when Jonathan Valin himself,  probably one of 3 of the single most important reviewers on the planet today,  is calling you up for review samples,  one tends to listen.  Of course it helps that he is one hell of a great person.

Anyway,  yes,  I can attest:  the review is definitely out.

Busy times ... it is a good sign for Klaus but less so good for me ...

On September 12th I have an appointment with our loacal Odyssey sales company (AudioArte in The Netherlands) to hook up an Khartago Plus with my speakers and listen how good the synergy will be. Before the review was out I already was interested for the K Plus so that the review tested a similar model was a nice bonus. AudioArte has a K Plus for evaluation and already offered me that I could buy this burnt-in evaluation sample after a succesfull evaluation. Reading about the busy times at Odyssey I might be tempted to take the unit instead of waiting (longer ??) for a new unit out of production from Klaus.
On the other end ... the longer you have to wait for something you have been looking out for the nicer it will be nicer to get it in the end ... life is full of difficult choices ..
