icon speaker array

I'm contemplating making an array out of icon speakers.... 6 - 8 stacked sideways on top of each other with an icon sub woofer underneath.

Would this be possible?  I would use combination of series and parallel to get the correct ohms..

Just wondering if nuforce thought it would work well or not....

Perhaps the sub wouldn't keep up?  Or the icon amp wouldn't see it as an icon speaker anymore and not use the special eq?

anyway here is a graphic illustration of the concept :)

You should purchase the S-1 driver from us.  MSRP $49 for each Titanium S-1 driver (part number NF-SPK-DRV-25-01). We can give you a discount for this interesting project.
We think the array S-1 speaker could have big sound stage with coherent sound.  If you don't know how to wire the drivers for array speaker, consult with Casey at support@nuforce.com
Don't use the waveguide for array speaker, just the drivers only. Basically the array speaker would appear as 8 ohm nominal impedance and could be driven by any amp (IA-7V2 would be good, but definitely not Icon).
If it make sense to commercialize it, we can take it into production and pay you royalty.
