If you want to see something hilarious, look at the Buy It Now price, then see the comments at the bottom of the listing. This seller is a ding dong. I think he may want to step away from the crack pipe. He has already tuned down a $10000 cash offer.

Well, if you're rich AND nostalgic.  I think I would pass if the price was $12,900.

But the speakers do sit on "Dayton Audio Chrome Spikes".  I own a couple sets of those (in Black Chrome) and they do go for $20/set.  That ups the value considerably.

I'm sure at the Buy It Now price you could get the bungees and the stack of CDs on the top thrown in.

Besides, you can never have too many 30 year old noisy analog equalizers in the signal path.

(This one is a lot more fun than the mud-covered broken SOTA turntable on ebay in another thread !)

The  ess amt-1c's is  one of my favorite speakers. I love those tweeters. I have had a set of ess speakers in the house Diffrent models over the years since the mid 70's

I missed all the Monster Cable interconnects and such.  Maybe the Buy it Now price isn't so bad after all.

Yes, the ESS speakers were the only components I was curious about.  I don't know how much refurbishing might be required on that vintage, though.

But you can have every last piece of those old electronics.

Again, except for those Dayton spikes.  I'm sure they're just as good today as when they were purchased.

That was top of the line when that stuff was new. I can remember the first time a saw those thick monster cables and wanted a pair to use with my Phase Linea 400a Amp

I also had the Phase Linear 400.  One day I accidentally put too much pressure on the snap-on aluminum transistor cover between the heat sinks and blew out 2 of the transistors (The case on that TO3 package was hot, not ground).

The dealer got it repaired for me under warranty, even though I explained what happened.

When I got it back, I hooked it back up with my 14 gague brown lamp cord.

Memories...Man, I wish I had kept mine, I could re-live a bit of my youth with that amp.

Remember the PL D-500?

Wish I hadn't sold that, either, ha!

Peace,

Lee
