Rob, I've had the HDXV between my Sony S7700 and Scott Nixon Tubedac for several weeks now, and it is superb. For $75 this cable took my system to a new level. You haven't bought one yet? what are you waiting for?

Hey doc. I picked up an HDXV cable to attach to my new SN TubeDac+. I have no idea what it sounds like since I got the dac and the cable at the same time. The combo in comparison to my Marantz CD-17 alone is stupendous.

Bring yer cable when I host the Audio Rave and you can check it out. Hell, bring yer dac too!

Daniel, thanks I will. I travel a lot on my job but if am here I will make it.
I am glad to hear the combo works well. I am using a Bolder digital cable with a Bybee attached which has been extremely satisfying, but I always enjoy it if I can improve things a little. It will be interesting to compare.
Where are you located?

I'm using the HDXV cable also between my Sony S7700 and Nixon Tubedac. Prior to that I tried, Harmonic Tech cyberlink copper, Nixons own digitalcable, Kimber D-60, Bolder nitro (non-bybee), Cardas Ultra fast and Audio Magic Sceptor. Prior to the HDVX the cable that had bested them all was an Audience AU24 digital. The HDXV was noticable better than even the audience in terms of clarity, lack of fatigue, palpability and detail. There was/is nothing over emphasized, things just sound real. It's an excellent cable made even better by the price.

I have been lurking here for a while and saw the post on this cable and decided to buy one. I guess I will be the voice of dissent. While I do like how the cable sounds, I think the one I already have(cryo treated Jena Labs Digi Trio) sounds better, more open, the HDVX sounds a little more laid back. It is a bit more expensive at $165. I will keep the HDVX though, I will use it for my bedroom setup when I get a DAC for that room. FYI, my front end includes a highly modified Pioner DV343 with Bybees from Modwright and his Level II P-3A. Anyway, just my findings in my system.

I haven't tried any other cables, no one around my area to trade with and I don't want to blow a lot of money on cables. I listened to the HDVX for a couple of days, and I will probably put it back in a listen to it some more, definitely not as broken in as the Jena which is about a year old. I got the Jena from Dan at Modwright, sold it to me with the P-3A as a package. I'll give it some more time, really just posting my initial impressions.

The high end stuff is way too expensive for me to ever think about.

I have been listening to the Jena Cables for the past month. I have the Trio plus IC's & Siamese 4 Speaker cable. This cable is soooo MUSICAL

It lifts VEILS from in front of the speakers. The modified/cryo treated RCA plugs are a site to behold. These cables are extremely neutral, detailed, and musical. NO listener fatigue!!

I got my cables from Kevin @ Solar HiFi.. They work very well with the Fusion H1 digital amp. The amp uses the same Jena internal wiring..

The Trio Plus IC's 1 meter is $330.00 and the Siamese 4 (12') run is $880. The Trio IC's will be used between the amp and preamp and the phono stage to preamp. I will use the Soloist Plus (1 meter is $170) between the CD Player and preamp. The CD player is used about 3% of the time. They are very nice for my system..

I just got my HDXV. First impressions are excellent. More air, natuaralness and clarity. I find it doesn't like a bybee added to the end. It makes it sound a little forced by comparison and loses a little air and clarity in my system.
It will probably sound better after break in but it is already an improvement. Thank you all for your advice.

I have broken this cable in for about two weeks. Midrange is absolutely stunning. I am finding the treble a little bright compared to my Bolder with Bybee's. The HDXV seems to do a better job separating instruments and detail. Any suggestions on how to tame the brightness?

Buy a different cable.

I have way more hours than you on mine and I can't get rid the treble glare.

That's why I am sticking with the Argent Audio Jaden Signagture cable.

At the upcoming NY Audio Rave meeting I will be bringing my Jaden Sig to see if more people agree with my (and apparently yours) ears.

I've been delighted with the HDXV but my Meadowlark Blue Herons are rather laid back. It'll be great to give it a shot, though. I wonder what Chris Sommovigo used to voice the cable?

Thanks Zybar. This cable does so many other things well, I am glad you confirmed my experience. I will be trying some new ones. I'm considering:
1) Empirical Bimeister
2) Jena
3) Virtual Dynamics Master

I hope I can make the next rave to check out the one you'll be bringing.

I have heard very nice things about their products, but some are priced well out of my range.

What's the price on this one?
