mjosef, thanks for the hot tip!  I had a 12 hour graveyard shift last night and spent every free minute sampling music in classical, jazz, rock, and world genres.  The selection is dizzying and I've heard, and heard of, none of it so it's like an undiscovered vault of musical treasure for me.

Absolutely! First album by Jesus H Christ and the Four Hornsmen of the Apocalpyse (self titled). A bit of Zappa humor with pure pop sensibilities. Buy three copies and give two to your friends.

More weird rock would include Fake Brain, fun stuff.
Also, Church of Betty and Chris Rael.

How about Shoes? I may buy some as I missed this Beatlesque group first time around.

I wish the sale CDs were tagged as such on the actual CD page, so you could browse/search in other ways.  Their "sounds like" function is nice, but you can't use it to just browse the sale items (as far as I can tell).

Turns out, though, that Jesus H Christ is NOT on sale, as best I can tell. What a hard sale to negotiate!

If you pick anything via navigation from the links on the sale page, the price will change after you put 3 cd's in your cart.  I picked up about 6 CD's that varied from $8-$12 each and after 3 went in the cart, they all went down to $5.

Picked up 22 CDs and one download which was actually an oops on my part.  Not a problem, though, as I like the music but now need to figure out how to convert it to a wav file that any player can read.

Anyone know of a free mp3 to wav conversion applet that's free?
