I've been reading that tweaked fuses can improve the sound of some of the finest amps out there.  I'm curious if anyone has tried the Hi Fi tuning fuses in any of Hugh's amps (mine is an LF 55, so that is of greatest interest to me).

Hi Neil,

I have my doubts.  AndyR kindly gave me a couple of ceramic fuses from RS Components a couple of years ago and I could not hear or measure a difference.  However, that's not to say it isn't there, just that I couldn't hear it!

I have always wondered why you use relatively large fuses (physically)??

Hi Greg,

They are standard 3AG, which are fast blow, which I like.  Smaller fuses are certainly available, but they are more difficult to source.  For my amps, selling all over the world, I wanted fuses that were very easy and cheap to source.
