I've bought some Analog gear.
So other gear that I absolutely love, has to go.

This is a brand spanking new Almarro 205a MKII (about 1.5 month old).  The protective plastic isn't even off the bottom plate.  Not a single scratch and it is a 10/10 condition wise.

6moons audio reviews: Almarro A205A MkII

It is UPGRADED and has a vastly improved sound character as opposed to stock:
1) NOS Tubes:

- Throwing in THREE absolutely NOS Mullard EL84 tubes (cost $350 per pair right now).
- RCA Blackplate Cleartop 12AU7
- Tungsol Blackplate 12BH7A
- Ei Yugo EL84 pair included (stock)
- Sovtek 12AX7 included (stock)
- Tube Damper

3) Two Furutech fuses (1A that cost $50 a piece)

4) Properly done 0.22uF Ampohm Paper in tin foil and oil Capacitor upgrade.  These are the caps of choice by Jon L who must have rolled over a 100 different capacitors before settling on this one particular one.

5) Including a pair of Auricaps 0.47uF, 630V for your cap rolling pleasure.  But the Ampohm as installed are the best really.  Need a bit more breaking in but already sounds sooooo good!

It is an EXCELLENT K1000 amp as I heard at CanJam and sounds exquisite.
I hate letting it go as this amp is so hard to come by (long wait from Japan).

Current retail for the stock latest version is $900 from Paul at ImagineHiFi and on the way up from what he tells me due to exchange rates etc.

$1150 shipped in CONUSA. Paypal adds 3%. Double Boxed with manual.

Just curious if you are running the .22uF coupling caps? This is much larger value and physical size as compared to the .047uF normally in the circuit and curious what your impressions were/are.
This is a great little amplifier with little exposure over the past few years in the US. Someone is in for a treat!
