Has anyone from AC actually bought anything from you Blair? Man you spew alot. Sorry, but every time I come here you are pushing your wares. Very little feedback from the other side is available. You are persistant. Have you offered your product(s) for an audition?

I am the proud owner of the F2A  SET amp that Blair made for me.  I am in the process of doing a review.  For all I can say so far, Blair makes for what I can tell the best bang for the money amp.  Asides from the fact that he is extremely accommodating in the types of tubes and circuitry you might wish.  Moreover, he is an Engineer who tweaks the circuits following strict discipline. 

I think he is working something in order for people to hear his creations.

Thank you Paul for your comments. Questions are always encouraged about my products. The F2A single ended amplifier being mentioned is listed on my web site. A special feature it has is the One Electron output transformers. These are incredibly linear transformers and are ideal in zero loop feedback designs. The preferred F2A sub is a 6550, for those interested in this configuration.

Any 6V6 fans out there?


We can make the NS-30 used 6V6's! Power output will be reduced to about 20 watts/channel but it will be the best sounding 20 watts/channel available. 6V6's are not discussed much for some reason. It's one of my favorite tubes! Efficiency, ruggedness and incredible sound are their hallmarks.  Speakers down to 92db efficient can be used with this modification. Biasing remains automatic.

Bonus: Amp will operate ideally with vintage 6L6G's & GA's, including the higher powered GC's. Stress levels on vintage tubes will be nonexistent.

There are several 30 watt/channel configurations that can be made.  We can go into a industrial design where power output is distributed among more tubes, for example. This was very popular before anode dissipation was increased with modern tubes. How did it work? Incredibly well!

With the proper design, it is possible to significantly improve tube life to where it no longer is an issue. We have at least three designs that increase tube life without sacraficing sound quality. In fact, these designs improve sound quality.

We can design a NS-30 based upon four EL84's per side or four 6V6's per side to achieve 30+ watts per channel.

With this configuration, tube life will be greatly extended and it's a great way to hear these wonderful tubes with some backbone behind them. She's quite an unusual amp with a signal path that does not become more complex due to paralleling tubes. Actually, paralleling output tubes reduces overall circuit complexity.
