You might have been reading about the 30C. This amplifier is very similar to a 30C minus some of the advanced power supply upgrades. We still made he to provide extended power tube life and reduced heat output by at least 50% over standard 30 watt amplifiers.

Our 30A sounds stunning! Exceptionally well formed base is complimented with high resolution treble and exceptionally detailed mids that are perfectly formed. Choke filtration/regulation provide power reserves for an incredibly deep soundstage that will not perform well even under busy passages.

There are limitless ways to design an amp or preamp. We find ways to compliment the positive attributes of tubes. That means they are not forced to do anything unusual or operate out of bounds. We seek out ways to extract every ounce of character that makes tubes so special. There is a reason why tube sound is sought after: When acted upon correctly, nothing can stand in their way. Everybody knows it. Some proof: Tube amps and preamps hold their resale value much,much better than solid state gear.

I thought the term 'time machine' depicts what we're doing here. The early days of audio were the best. Built in obsolescence was something corporate America hadn't thought of yet.

Niteshade technology provides a means to see into the past and relive only the enjoyable aspects of tube technology. A nostalgic look is one thing, but knowing that we practice what we preach down through the layers is quite another.

I made a typo:

There is no 'basic edition'.

Our NS-30A is the first amplifier in the NS-30 series.

Model variations go like this:

NS-30A
NS-30 Ultra Edition
NS-30C

As stated earlier, the "C" model is completely different than the other two due to a completely different power supply circuit and various other mods. C stands for Classic as it implements 1930's & 40's style technology. It does look similar to the 30A & Ultra Edition.

Each one produces 30 watts per channel with 6L6's yet has a different way of getting there. Configurations can be mixed too! I can actually design an amp utilizing the special attributes of each model! We're extremely flexible.

I'd like to hear your questions and comments. We are new to many people and you're invited to ask questions about our products. Do you know someone looking to get into tube audio? What about yourself?

Everything we build is based on a 1950's or earlier standard of construction. We have found it is better to design around a technology's native environment. In this case, that is point to point wiring, solid copper wire and extremely efficient circuits. I had mentioned our amplifiers are like time machines, capable of providing a view of tube technology's past.

I forgot to mention that the 30A looks exactly the the Ultimate Edition shown, minus the filter choke and Tunable Bias control.

This is a great amp for those getting to tube technology and can easily handle speakers in the 90db sensitivity range and even a little under that. Resolution in the upper registers is incredible, mids are ideal, bass is well controlled and never lacking.

Variable feedback makes it possible to dial the amp in perfectly to your existing sound system.

If somebody were to ask me the what I believed the most endearing quality of a good tube amplifier was, the answer would be one word: Resolution.

Good resolution allows finer details, in the milliwatt and microwatt scales to pass through unaffected. When discussing resolution in terms of high power: peaks, transients and sustained notes will be clean and clear.

High resolution isn't anything without a balanced delivery. No part of the audio spectrum should outpace the other. For example, stridency or boominess are unacceptable in a balanced system. Linearity makes for comfortable listening. No audio system is perfect and that is why we installed Variable Negative Feedback free of charge. There is no feature as powerful in the amplifier industry. Variable feedback makes it possible to perfectly tune the amplifier to your entire system and tastes.

Our NS-30 excels in the resolution and balanced delivery departments. Thirty watts per channel insures a wide open, effortless sound stage as well.

Point to point wiring is ***ideal*** for tube amplification. It produces the best sound, lasts the longest and makes the amp easy to mod or repair. There are only pro's, no con's.

The NS-30 lineup as well as everything else we make is wired using 100% pure copper wire that is specially made for tube amplifiers. Our wire is double insulated- one heavy layer of neoprene and a layer of woven, lacquered cotton on the outside. Guaranteed to last considerably longer than its vinyl counterparts. Yes, this wire is leagues better than its Teflon insulated counterpart. I have used them both.

Wire is very important. We choose to pay more now so you don't have to later on. Skimping has always been distasteful to me. Cheesy parts do not belong in superior products.

Our NS-30A has a considerable amount to offer for under $1K. Special, high quality wire is just the beginning.

1. Easy on the tubes- they last a loooong time!
2. Automatic biasing
3. Tunable Feedback: Takes the guesswork out of wondering if the amp will fit in your system- but it undoubtedly will match up 100% with everything.
4. 30 Watts per channel, 60 watts stereo is nothing to sneeze at

All that changes are capabilities and the components and circuits necessary to achieve the advertised capabilities of the model in question. Assembly quality NEVER changes!
