Country music is alive and well in the UK. And I have known about Charlie Daniels "Devil went down to Georgia" and other efforts that I have enjoyed over the years.
His latest CD: "Redneck fiddlin' man" is OUTSTANDING from start to stop! He hits everything from bluegrass, to folk, country, jazz, and buckwheat zydego. His virtuoso playing and down home arrangements make for a purely great cd. Every single cut is great!
He has a pair of tribute songs: Last fallen hero, about 9/11, and high speed heroes, a tribute to NASCAR and Dale Earnhart.
There is a vast wealth of styles here, and even a "devil"-flavoured "redneck fiddlin man"
He has a duo with Travis Tritt on "southern boy" and Garth Brooks lends vocals to "Waco"
It really comes alive from the first opening tune "rock this joint" and THAT he DOES!!!
