For sale is my beta version Musica Bella Tube Preamp.  Created by Bill Baker at Response Audio, this is an early version of his outstanding Purity preamp.  Features include a remote control for volume and mute, home theater bypass, and a low/high gain selector.

If I were to use one word to describe the sound of this preamp, it would be "clean".  It sounds neither tubey nor solid state; it simply lets the music flow.  Bad recordings sound bad, but good recordings sound fantastic.

I owned that pre before peabody had it outfitted with the bypass.  It was good enough to persuade me to buy a production model, which I still own.  In my opinion it bettered the Dodd and MW36.5 we compared it to.  An exceptional preamp and I'll bet it could be extracted from the metal case and replanted into a wood case if someone were so inclined.
