I must be very dumb, but I cannot figure out how to post pics to Jim's facebook site.

I think that I can post them here, however.

My HT2-TL in pal dao (aka pau ferro) veneer.

The speakers are in flawless cosmetic condition.  Any imperfections are merely dust on the speaker or my camera's lens.

XLO.  http://www.xloelectric.com/products/U_JS/U_JS.html   The purple jumper has a nice, pastel colored cover, with matching shrink wrap (of all things).  They have arrows pointing in a specific direction, like the tires on my car, but I suspect that they will pass current in both directions.  They were included with the purchase of some speakers that I bought last year that were missing their metal jumpers.  They appear to work OK, because I am getting sound from the tweeters and the woofers, and I didn't notice any deterioration in the sound quality after I switched to these jumpers.  I am using these because I don't want to risk damaging the nice metal jumpers that came with the HT2-TL.

oneinthepipe-

click the actual text "Write something" toward the top of the page.  For me, sometimes this did absolutely nothing, if that happens refresh the page and let it load completely before you click anything.  When it works you wil get a small set of icons that appear underneath the dialogue box.  Click the one that looks like a picture.  That should open another small window that allows you to browse your computer for the pic you want to upload.  Don't feel bad it was a PITA for me, I tried two different browsers and in pure frustration I clicked like I was trying to beat the "Write something" into submission, and the icons appeared!   :o  ...and then promptly went away because I had already clicked again  :?  at least I knew I was getting close.  a refresh and one click did it from that point....  Good luck.

Do I have to write something?

OK, I posted, but I could only post one pic.

George -

My daughters have been hounding me for months to do this.  Sometimes it just isn't worth fighting it.  Their take on it is that perhaps we might be able to sell a pair of speakers to two to individuals who do not frequent audio sites.  Who knows.  So far it hasn't been that painful.

Jim, maybe you can post a pic of my almost done HT2-TLs thereby entering me in the win a hat contest. It might be interesting to see what they look like "naked" anyway!  :o

I'll see it I can take a pic of your "in progress" speakers tomorrow.  You can then post it yourself.

Jim,
is it possible to show a pic of what the TL
looks like inside before the cabinet is completed?

He probably could, but then he would have to kill you.   :o

I wouldn't go quite that far...

Actually, there isn't much to photograph.  Imagine a long tube with a terminus that provides mass loading to complete the tuning.  That's all there is to it.  If you want more info on this type of mass-loaded quarter wave TL varient, google Martin King and read all about it.

Oh yeah, didn't think about how someone might borrow
an idea or innovative cabinet design from a pic.
