MCA has a great idea in that we should share who we have good experiences with. MCA how about a link or other method to contact and procure the Boos butcher blocks you mention. TCG has made mention of the wood he has purchased through eBay with excellent satisfaction, although the seller's information escapes my addled brain right now. Also I took a peek at Mapleshade's website and they offer some unfinished maple platforms for very reasonable prices.
However...all these dealings, experiences, and their related product links are best placed in the Reviews of Accessories child board under the Critic's Circle.
