I received my tracking number for my HD800. They arrive on Friday as I leave for CanJam. I've been told my HF-2 will be waiting for me when I arrive at CanJam. Thanks to Todd at Todd The Vinyl Junkie for both.I will post some impressions from CanJam if I can, otherwise, next week.
Both TTVJ and Headroom will have the HD800 available. TTVJ will also have the HF-2.As far as hangover relief is concerned, there is no question it will be needed.
i'd love to hear about the 800's...i use the 650's for hours a day right now and i have to say the 800's have me drooling from photos...

I have a Beta 22 single ended that was built by a friend. He did a great job so I raised the idea of doing an M3 and he said he was thinking of doing one for himself. At least this is the plan. The idea to go balanced with my headphone rig came from a desire to balance my speaker rig. I'm thinking of moving my tt to a spot next to me in my music room. It will be about 6 or 7' run of cable so I felt xlr's would be the way to go. I have a McCormack DNA-1 Deluxe Rev. A and a pair of Odyssey Stratos monos all of which have balanced inputs. Next is looking for a preamp and phono preamp to go with them.Congrats on the new cans. I'm not an Ultrasone fan, had the ED9 and gave it up when I realized the bass was so boomy it was starting to hurt my ears. The HD800 is a different beast altogether. I think you will enjoy it.By the way, it looks like we are bringing CanJam to RMAF this year. If you have any interest, contact Jp. I won't make as I'm in Vegas with my wife that weekend.
Here is a pic of mine:
Croparts nice cans.ED
