Congrats!   :thumb:

I'm hoping ML comes to their senses and releases a smaller/cheaper version of the CLX without the silly cone woofers.

Just noticed that you already had a picture up! I also realised that it did not take very long for you to receive them! Did you have them on order very long?

"The Speaker they said they would never build"

They look epic, love the review ...... They are going to sound fabulous once they are left on for awhile. Taken right from the review. The reviewer found the Belles mono bloc the best with them. I bet he never tried the Torus/Bryston. I love my Torus but i couldnt help wondering how nice they would be with electrostats. Torus/mL have got to be made for one another. So much charged energy from the Torus... liven those electrostats right up. I would love to hear that setup.

Hi danman,

I noticed in the manual it says 100 hours at 90dB -so I have left them playing for now.

Pretty sure that is the problem. It also took me a long time to get the room right as well and I only have the Quests! I had to use a lot of soundproofing and traps to get the sound I liked. Also when I replaced the panels with new ones (more modern technology) everything changed but mine were an older generation.

Have you tried them with your Thiel subs? I have heard nothing but great things about them. But I suppose for now it is better to go full range so you can get used to their sound. After all, if you loved them in Montreal, it is a matter of break in and set up I would think but I am no pro.

Keep us posted.

Hi Robert,

Need another 2 days or so for break in.  They are different than what I am use to in this room - point sources - so I am playing with the positioning to get the image more stable.  It is definitly a more diffused sound stage.

They do take a lot of effort for placement but once you find it, they are magic. Happy hunting! :D

James, at the show there was something missing, hard to put my finger on the point but maybe it was the break in time. Since they were Brand New ! But yet they did sound Great.
I have not been able to see Claude at Sons Ideal, to busy .......... But he has called me 3 or 4 times since I told you that his room was completed.

Your 28B'S im sure will help the break in time.  Just leave them on. My system is left on 24/7 and my speakers just love the company LOL !

Give it some time, I'm sure it's just that factor.

Well I am making some headway.

The break in period for the CLX is a definite 'MUST' and distance from rear wall, curved mid/tweeter positioning and toe-in is critical - at least in my 16x23 foot room.

Hi James

How wide of a stereo image is there before you hear one speaker?  I am refering to off axis to the middle.

Well you caught me werd!

If I have bias in my setups it is I really prefer a very very very w---i---d---e  soundstage and so I tend to place speakers as far apart as possible to expand the listening space.

Some speakers are better at this than others of course (depending on their dispersion pattern) and the Logans are very specific in terms of their setup requirements.

So right now they are 11 feet apart center to center and I am about 12 feet back.  They are 4 feet from the front wall and 2 feet from the side wall.  The back wall is 7 feet away from the listening position.
