BDA-1 Question
« on: 24 May 2009, 04:35 pm »
My BDA sends a 44.1 khz output when there is a 48 khz input. Will it downconvert all the other possible input types as well?

Hi Dilbert,

Not sure on that -I have never used it - will check with engineering.

Hi Dilbert,

I assume when you say 44.1 out with a 48K feed your talking about the SPDIF output on the rear of the BDA-1?

Yes sir. Now, I am assuming it is giving me 44.1 because my CDR is accepting it for recording purposes.

OK then something is a-miss - the SPDIF out on the BDA-1 is simply a 'passthrough' so it does not affect the incoming signal?

This is very interesting. I wouldn't think my Sony semi pro CDR would record anything but a 44.1 signal, since it is the red book standard.

I wish I had a more high res unput available to see what happens, when I try to record. Has anyone here tried it out?
