This is a very good Tube amp - not just a starter tube amp.
This Response Audio modified tube amp sounds very good - I could easily live with it sound-wise. Very good all rounder amp - clear top, rich mids and solid bass.
It has the signature mods ($675) from Response audio + stepped attenuator ($200 ?).
I purchased it used from audiogon a few months ago while I was waiting for my tube research labs amp / preamp to arrive.
I was pleasantly surpised by its performance.
I have priced it low for a quick sale.
Why is it 6/10 - cause it does have a few marks and scratches here and there - nothing too bad.
It works fine.
What will you get
1. The integrated amp
2. A set of 4 winged C Tubes EL34 Tubes (One tube is new) - I do not know how much life is left - I do get tube rush on the right channel sometime. The bottom of the three tubes have chipped plastic - but they do work fine. Expect to get a set of tubes at some point.
3. A set of small tubes 2 EH Tubes and 2 Chinese tubes (one of the chines tubes needs a replacement
I go have a like new matched quad of Electro Harmonix EL34 that I could add for $50 if you want.
I also have a set of NOS small tubes that work very nicely that the buyer can have for $90 (I don't mind keeping them for my next amp with remote control.
I can throw in a couple of CDs for free.
