If you're a fan of seventies prog rock like ELP, YES, etc... then you MUST check this out!!!
I've always loved the Levin, Belew, Bruford incarnation of the Crim but this Whetford dude has an awesome sound and meshes well with Brufords playing!  He also sings quite well.

The recordings are live venues and sound quality is very good.
The dude on violin is buried in the mix save for a few quieter passages...OF WHICH THERE ARE FEW!!!

I still appreciate Belew's vocals and guitar work as on "Absent Lovers" but this older Crim kicks some serious ass  

Check it out     the improv piece "The Golden Walnut" is alone worth the investent in time and money

I have not yet heard this album. I do own many KC LP's but ever since Thrak, I've lost interest. Robert Fripp's guitar playing has gone way too weird for even me. However, I would have given my left nut to see a concert of them doing something like Lizard or In the Wake of the Poseidon. I really thought that Greg Lake (from Emerson, Lake and Palmer) was the perfect vocallist for this band and after he left, it was never the same, for me.
