Hi,

When the dealer orders they usually tell us if it is for a well know celebrity.

I always wonder with celebrities if they make the equipment choices themselves or do they have recording engineers make equipment recommendations?  To what degree are these musicians "audiophiles" as opposed to purely artists who don't really care too much about the equipment or technical aspects thereof?

It's a good question and one that varies with the performer. In my experience if the performer has a private studio for their recordings then they have to "OK" the choices of their respective engineers.

In other cases the performer - like Stevie Wonder and Prince for instance,  make the choice period.

Alicia Keys plays piano. I heard a piano recording through a pair of 28B SST the other day and its not surprising Ms Keys loved the Brystons. If you closed your eyes it was like the real thing. And I grew up with a piano in the house! Incredible.

(Of course they were using a BCD into a BDA as well :) )

In all humility I would say that with a lot of Music and Movies produced today Bryston is part of it at the mixing, tracking or mastering stage somewhere.

Sorry James, please pardon my ignorance of your company.
Looks like you're into quite a bit more than speakers and amps.
It would be great if in the credits of music and film, credit was given to the equipment used as well.

Again, congratulations!

Yet another reason to own Bryston. That makes total sense.  8)

From a privacy standpoint my question is this "Does she have to give you permission to print the fact that she is a Bryston owner?"  I assume yes?
