bi amping with the P9

I was wondering if you can bi amp using the P9. Since the balanced output is actually unbalanced could you use the RCA's as one pre amp output and use the "balanced" output as the second. If so and your using 4 9V2 SE's would you set the input switch to balanced for the "balanced" input or leave it as RCA since it is not truely balanced

I have a P8 pre and I use both sets of outputs to bi-amp I assume the P9 would do the same.
I found the xlr better for the low frequencies and rca for the high. I think there is a slight difference between the two. Hope this helps

Thanks for this. My question is really around the P9 with an unbalanced balanced output. I think the P8 is a true balanced output but I may be wrong

The P8 isn't true balanced so must be the same. I set the switch to balanced for the xlr and leave rca as they are on my poweramp. I asked Jason about this when I got my P8.

The gain is matched on both XLR and RCA, so bi-amping should be fine.
