i've got one of those sitting on some light aluminum cones which point to a 20lb marble slab... which sits on three pairs of rubber-cork-rubber squares... which sit on a 3/4" MDF board which are held up on 3 sharp brass spikes piercing through thick carpet. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much time to play with different setups to hear if any of the resonance “control” measures underneath it have actually improved anything. I’m a bit afraid
of finding out that everyone is right about marble “ringing” and having to spend $100’s on slabs of wood or something.
Could you please be a bit less lazy (and/or cowardly) than me and post a review of before and after?
