Hi Ash,

No immediate plans as the all in one CD Player appears to be the better approach performance wise.

Hi James

I am sure this will be a sooner or later project for you guys. I personally like to see one sooner. A product such as this would be great from Bryston

Hello folks

Just bought the pioneer 560 from above link. Its a got a 160 gb HD with a juke box feature and whole bunch  video recording features. The sad news is that these are about to go extinct as pioneer is goin under. These units are excellent musically with  the HD via coax. Literally walks all over my acer laptop (and pretty much everything else ive used) as far PRAT and focus. Very nice partner for the BDA -1 and i would recommend finding one before they are gone. Only 300 bucks.!!!!!!!! cant go wrong. Apparently they are a great dvd recorder too. It also opened up a layer of forward layering that i hadnt heard so far.

Not yet... just switching gears to car audio exclusively according to this article. Hold off on the Plasma TV?

"Pioneer Corp. (PNCOF.PK), a maker of car-navigation systems and electronics products, said it will receive 2.5 billion yen (US$26 million) of capital from business partner Honda Motor Co. (HMC) in the first of several fund-raising steps by the electronics maker to develop new car-electronics products finance. Under a medium-term business plan, Pioneer said it will need to raise about 40 billion yen (US$405.2 million). Pioneer is also preparing to apply for a government cash injection under newly approved measures in Japan's economic-stimulus program. With losses mounting, Pioneer has decided to exit the flat-panel television business and concentrate on electronics for the auto industry. The company will eliminate 9,800 jobs and take a 47 billion yen (US$476.1 million) charge this fiscal year for the reductions."

I'd be curious as the experiences with people who have the Bryston BDA-1 and BCD-1 as to what makes up the rest of their system and how their stack up using one or the other and also what else they have hooked to the BDA-1.

At the risk of posting another manufacturer's prod. I was really impressed with this transport i just recently had the chance to hear.

This is something i would like to see Bryston do. It  loads the cd and quickly buffers 7min of tunes for HD playback(you don't even notice the time it takes to buffer). An HDMI out along with USB and coax.
