LS-9 Flat Pack Available
« on: 30 Apr 2009, 09:13 pm »
Hi Guys,

One of our bretheren, a fellow GR fanatic and an all around great guy ordered an LS9 flatpack from me, and is unable to complete the build as planned. He wants to sell the kit ASAP. It is crated and ready to go and is machined exactly to the GR specs. This is the entire MDF enclosure kit with bases that you can assemble in a day. Cost for the pair already in the crate is $1400. It's a really good deal. If you are in doubt whether the LS9 is the speaker for you, just ask Art. I'm building mine in carbon fiber just as soon as I get some room... (I've already been conditioning the wife for furniture placement "alternatives." )

Danny said the goods for the kits should arrive in about a month. I won't be in a position to produce any more LS flatpacks until mid to late June when my new CNC arrives. At that time, there will be a group-buy thread posted for LS 6-9's in various configutations. Thanks for looking, guys. Drop me a line if you have any questions.

Just curious, how come this is the only speaker that you can (back)order from av123 and get a kit from Danny.

I THINK because Danny did the design for himself, not expressly for AV123, as opposed to the x-static for instance.

It's still here. Monster crates that I keep whacking my leg on. :cuss: ...as such, the first $1200 takes them.

Where are you in Co?

This could be my chance to get some 9's cheap! :D

And Art, I'd probly copy yours.  :thumb:

The sides are the basic flat variety, as opposed to the curved version that Denny did for Art. I am on the west side of COS.

I'm not too concerned about the flat vs. curved. :) At that price I would have no room to complain.

Would I be able to get the pack into the back of an SUV or like a Ford Flex or would I need a pickup? I'm in Abq, and would probably fly up rent a truck and come home.

Well, if we un-crate it, you are at 82" OAL. Not sure about the flex. Drop me a pm, there are wasier ways to get it to ABQ.

Eric,

Did just that.. Check your pm's.

Yes.Thank you for your reply. It is a very interesting material.
I have plans myself  to use CF at my LS9, but i end up making them in MDF.
I am still thinking about the possibillity to use CF.
