This is a public thank-you to Bob for coming out a second time to do the installation of my screen over again, to correct for some issues we had before. The job was well done and we were even able to eliminate the ripples that appeared in 2 of the corners pretty easily. Unfortunately, I'll most likely wind up sending this screen back or atleast having the material replaced. There are blotchy grid-like shapes near the top border of the screen that haven't gone away after all this time, and I'm not comfortable ironing the back of the screen as the company suggests. Also, the 16:9 light footprint of the image doesn't fit the frame properly. The side borders are not correct when the top and bottom borders fit properly. The side borders of the frame extend too far, suggesting that the screen is meant for something wider than 16:9. This happens with all widescreen sources. When I called the company about this, they said they would check on this and call me back in 20 minutes. They never did. According to the packing box, the screen measures 80" x 45". That makes for a 92" diagonal, right? I'll have to check the measurements myself.

As far as image quality goes, I think Bob will agree with me. The images are simply stunning, and plenty bright even with the pj bulb on the economy setting. I'm quite happy with that.

80 squared = 6,400
45 squared = 2,025
6,400 + 2,025 = 8,425
square root of 8,425 = 91.787798753 ad infinatum
91.787798753 ad infinatum = 92 (close enough for government work)
80 x 45 is 16:9, but only if you go out to the very edge.

Adrian, thank you very much Sir, I had a great time helping you. Hearing the Monoliths and watching the Sanyo PJ was a treat.

The second time was necessary due to the fact neither of us knew the plaster was a mere camouflage for the cinder block wall behind it.  :o
Image my confusion when the stud finder wouldn't find a stud.
Then we discovered the plaster was 1/8" thick coating over the cinder blocks.
I was prepared with the proper tools the second trip.

Adrians 1080p projector and gray screen material is amazing. Simply stunning to be exact. To the point where I'm slightly pissed at the result. Adrian, in his ultimate cruel joke, sent me home to view my washed out 720p image that has none of the "POP" that his has. They say "size matters", but in this case, I think not.
Adrian rules.  8)  :notworthy:

If this company can improve on the poor packaging and shipping of their screen kit, I'd give them a huge recommendation. The waves appear due to "laziness" during the packaging phase of the operation. The aluminum frame was a breeze to assemble as was the screen material (plastic of some sort?). The only beef I have is the wrinkles caused during shipping due to what I'd consider poor packaging.
An amazing screen image for the price he paid. Almost makes me want to buy one.

By the way Adrian, HERE IS A LINK to the 15' HDMI cable for $30 from Oppo I mentioned to you.
The one I bought was 25' for the same price. Apparently they're not selling those anymore?  :dunno:

Don't forget, you owe me a return visit.
You got me on picture quality BIG time...... But I'd like you to hear a little more bass.  aa

Hey, thanks Bob for the glowing comments. I didn't mean to conduct a ''cruel joke''...hahhaha. Yes, you'll be able to return the favor by sending me home after hearing your famous bass. It's really a shame that you nor I can give 2 thumbs up on my screen, even with the excellent image that it can produce. Like you said, if they can solve the packaging issues, and resolve my aspect ratio issue, I would be their biggest fan. The cost only $250 plus another $50 for shipping. Let me know when I can come out and see your place.
