I once had a Parasound HCA-855, which was a great sounding 5 channel amp that drove small bookshelf Paradigm speakers in a HT setup. Wish I still had it, since I only paid $350 for it.

Want to find one again or another HQ amp to drive Monitor Audio BR2 speakers in HT setup.
Any ideas or suggestions for an amp?? Will buy new or used. Not looking to spend over $400.

MA BR2 speakers

-   90 db sensitivity
-   70-100 watt recommended power
-   6 ohm nominal impedance

I will be using the amp with a Marantz SR-7500 receiver as a pre-pro.

Is used an option?

I'm seeing a bunch of Rotel stuff on Audiogon for under $400...ex: http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?ampsmult&1245381854&/Rotel-RB-985

There are a few nice used Adcom amps in that range also.  For multi channel don't forget to check out Videogon, too.  Because it is not as well known many times equipment over there goes for less than it does on Audiogon.

I know some folks are happy with ATI multi-channel, or Outlaw (I recall there is some connection between the two?).

I've used an Adcom in my HT system for at least 5 years with never a problem. Used GFA-7300's and 7400's show up on Agon & ebay frequently.

check out sony ta-n9000es ... they are very good for the money .. 120wx5, and are 4 ohm stable. I've seen them go for way under $400 on agon.

An Emotiva LPA-1 was just listed at Audiogon for $435...maybe you can get it for $400?
