"Digital copies" refers to any commercially-available format which you purchased separately from the vinyl copy. CD\SACD\DVD-A\Digital Download.  It does not refer to copies you have made for yourself from the vinyl.

Clapton's compulation set
Mangione's Children of Sanchez (vinyl trounces CD, usually the case when it comes to A&M)
Everything by Manhiem Steamroller
numerous Harry Chapin recordings
Several Dave Grusin recordings
Quite a few Sheffield labs (both mediums well represented here !)
Several of Knofflers recordings ( I generally prefer the analog version here as well)

Yes. Lots. Gotta do it!!
I basically have no downloaded music.
Never used iTunes.
I'm not proud about it, I don't care if someone else does it,
I just am addicted to physical product.

So I have Of Montreal on vinyl and CD, Allman Bros Fillmore and Peach, first four Procol Harum, tons of Move, Roy Wood, New Pornographers and AC Newman (I buy both when they come out because it's my fave), etc.

Sometimes I get the CD so I can get into the album in my car, then come to the man cave for an aural vinyl experience.

Sometimes I go overboard: RCA Ziggy Stardust Bowie LP, Japanese copy, MFSL 1/2 speed master copy, regular CD and remastered extra tracks CD!!! (gave one extra to my daughter)

putting numbers too it

my modest collection is approximately 650 CDs, and about 75 vinyl discs. I estimate that less than 25% of my vinyl is duplicated with a CD version.  I am new to vinyl.

I am posting to add that depending on the genre, artists and release date, many albums are not available on vinyl.

examples of artists in my collection without full vinyl LP album format available (via discogs.com):
royksopp / halou / camera obscura / sigur ros / emiliana torrini  sometimes they are available but are very expensive $25+ imports.

Yes, and I'm still looking for vinyl titles that are really hard to find from their CD counterpart, like Queen Innuendo, Thomas Dolby-Astronauts and Hieratics to name a couple.

Guessing, I've got about 1500 CDs. Of that count at lest 2/3 to 3/4 of them I have their vinyl counterpart. I've even bought some new music (as in new bands) on vinyl without getting the CD which might seem a little strange to some...but not a true vinyl fan  :thumb:

I have about 1000 cds. I have probably about the same number of lps. I think out that number I have only 3 or 4 titles on both formats. The main one that comes to mind is Dark Side Of The Moon. Cd, cd re-release, lp, lp re-release and sacd.

No problem with that approach, you just have to make time to listen! I do it, too, although vinyl by itself is fine, I like it with a CD best (Apollo Sunshine's latest) or at least a download.

I started with vinyl back in the 70's then switched to CD's in the 80's. Now I've kind of switched back, but I generally can't handle the prices for new vinyl compared to a CD. So, I've been picking up a lot of used vinyl in the $2-$5 range. I've got about 1000 CD's and 700 LP's with about I'd guess about 150 duplicates.

I will often purchase a CD to evaluate a new artist or an older record I wasn't aware of. If I like it, and it is available on vinyl, I will put it on my list and pick it up when I bump into it. If it is a new release, I just put the LP on my wishlist at soundstagedirect.com and order when I have accumulated enough to get free shipping or whatever deal is going on.

I have several of both formats.  Always prefer the CD, so I don't have many.

Lots of dups.

Gave up on analog in the 80s, and over time bought some CDs for stuff I still wanted to hear.

Then rediscovered the enhanced critical listening experience of analog last year, and started buying LPs of favorite CDs.

Then I went and bought a better CDP a few months ago, and started enjoying digital a lot more and have since bought some dups.  But will reach for the vinyl first, if time and energy permit.

Otherwise, if I really like an LP, I may pick up the CD on sale for convenience, i.e. in in the car.  If I really like the CD, I'll try and find a good used copy on vinyl to add to the collection.

So... Lots of dups.  Maybe 100.  But then again, I sorta married a dup (twin). Unfortunately I don't own both. aa

I usually can buy two to three great condition LP's for the price of one CD. I also usually prefer the LP.

I have very few crossovers....a few, but not many.

Once I have music on a format that is at least acceptable :) then I leave it be and spend my finite funds on new, not replacement or duplicate, music on whatever format comes around.

Tho, my purchases are probably 50 to 1 in vinyl to CD purchases the past few years.

I DO have dupes of music, say, that I got on CD first...on DVD-A's.  Ditto for vinyl and I got dupes on DVD-A.  On these several dupes, it was abundantly clear to me that DVD-A was a healthy step forward on CD and getting ever so closer to the completeness and fullness of vinyl.

But, to me, vinyl is still a bit closer to the real event, live, than DVD-A even at it's best.

Analogy: I've read that most folks view movies on DVD or on-demand that they've already seen before.  That's awfully rare for me....I want to ingest new, not rehash the old with my time.  But, we're all different in so many ways
