Capacitor Forming Function ?
« on: 20 Apr 2009, 03:58 am »
Hi,
With the RM200 MKII  does the unit need to be in "idle or standby" mode for the capacitor forming function to work?  Wonder how much power does the unit draw for the CFF to work?

Does anyone use there amp w/ this feature plugged into a power conditioner?  I've got all my equipment plugged into a power conditioner and put the unit in "standby" which cuts power to all my components.  Wouldn't this defeat the advantage of the Capacitor forming function?

thanks,

Rob S.

If your conditioner cuts the power then the forming function will not work. It needs to see 120 volts to charge the caps. I'm curious though, what does stand-by mean on your conditioner?
