You know, I've been offering these for sale for about three weeks now. On two different forums. NOT A NIBBLE. Is it the economy? The price? The speakers? Are the photos bad? What? Someone tell me, please. I know shipping is a problem. I just didn't think it was this much of a problem.

It's unlikely to be just one thing.  The price is reasonable for what you paid and what the buyer gets, but it's more money than what many people are willing to pay at this point.  Second, the shipping cost is very high.  Three, whether it's fair or not, AV123 has been getting a lot of negative press recently, including in the area of QC, so that may turn people off.  Four, the LS6's are large speakers w/ relatively low WAF.  Five, not everyone here is looking for the type of big, dynamic sound the LS's provide.  This is a very varied forum w/ a lot of different tastes.  Just look at all of the circles and that becomes abundantly clear very quickly.  And finally, the LS's are just not the right speaker for a lot of rooms.  From the pics I've seen on the TCA forum, many people have the LS's close to the walls.  And even with room treatments, that's not an ideal position for them, and it's very difficult to get the best possible sound from them.

So, a bunch of different things.

As much as I hate to hear it, I think you are correct. I realized right away, I would never reach their full potential in my home. They still sound very special, but not at the peak performance level. Thanks for the reply.

It's not that the LS's are a bad speaker.  The opposite is likely true.  They have the potential to sound terrific w/ the right room and equipment.  But, as with any speaker or electronics, they are not the greatest thing since the invention of the wheel, and they are not for everyone.

A couple of frontal shots w/o grills couldn't hurt.  :green:

They are gorgeous by the way.

Sounds good! Will do that. I see the point. All those woofers and tweeters are impressive. I keep the covers on because they are a little overwhelming when watching movies. You can't keep your eyes off of them.
