I saw it earlier today and asked the seller to post a photo with the serial #. No response yet. It is an older than 3-year body, correct?

P.S. Just got an email from him. the serial number is 032105m. No pictures, though.

I saw this as well yesterday. From the photo of the rear, the label looks like it says "Fet-Valve 350EXR." I could be wrong though.

Looks like a good deal, especially if the price doesn't rise too much.  There is a 550EXR on a'gon for $900.00, and I don't know how much a 350EXR would be worth in comparison, other things being equal.

I don't think I have seen that face plate before? I have a 550EXR6 #1032005 with the big V in the lower left side. I am not sure how to read the serial numbers? Mine was made in 02/??/2005 or I ordered it in February and got it in March, any way Frank well know what it is.

I'd guess it was March 20, 2005 (032005). Don't know where the leading "1" came from.

It is an older chassis (first generation faceplate) that has been updated in 2005.  It probably is not an Ultra as the 2005 serial number, if that is correct, predates that.  The seller should correct the information.

However it would be an outstanding buy at the starting price.  The cost to bring an EXR series up to an Ultra (major upgrades to the audio and power supply) is $699 including a new three year parts and labor warranty.

If I may ask-are you doing a bi-amp with the two ultras?  I am thinking of doing that in the near future.
Thanks

Not bi-amping, but hope to get some big Magnepan 20.1s in the future and thought a couple of Ultra Double 550s bridged would be adequate power for the application.
