Had some beautiful Black Walnut crotch wood hidden away in my shop and decided to do some furniture for my loft.  This small bench/stool would work wonderful as a speaker or equipment stand.  If anyone has any interest in a very unique stand give me a shout.  I have just a couple nice walnut crotch pieces that I can do something fun with.  The stool in the picture just came up from my woodshop.  There has been no finish applied yet and the small ebony "butterfly" inlays have not yet been installed over the cracks.   Still quite a bit of sanding to do as well but I thought I'd throw a picture up here to start the wheels turning.  To give you an idea of the strength of the mortise and tenon joinery, I can stand on this stool without breaking it.

I'd have to talk real nice to a guy in AZ and hope for some 14" wide live edge 12/4.....

I'm actually just starting a sideboard commission with some of your mesquite set aside for live edge door panels.
