I just purchased a pair of Sophia Electric 2A3 mesh plate tubes from Washington Audio for use in my Bottlehead Paraglow II's. I tried them out and got a little arching in one of the tubes. I then contacted Washington audio thinking that there was a problem with the tube. They told me to send them back and they would ship a replacement pair because they were under warranty. They sent me the replacement tubes but in the process and doing some checking with the Bottlehead guys, I find out that it probably wasn't the tube afterall but the amps. The Paraglows without a "softstart" circuit, don't like mesh plates or visa-versa. They do fine with amplifiers that are tube rectified from what I am told also which the Paraglows are not and I'm not interested in adding this soft start feature to them at this time.
Anyway, now I have this pair of Sophia Electric 2A3 meshies with no amps to use them in. They can be purchased online direct through W.A. for $260.00/pr but I would be willing to let these for $200.00/pr plus shipping to your location.
$200.00/pr plus shipping
Thanks, RC
