I've been looking at epay trying to understand used vinyl and not wanting to drop 75$ on a dud.
I am looking at slayer, pantera, sepultura, raging slab, pig destroyer.
There are quite a few differwent recordings available.
Is it true the Brazilian pressings are ho-hum?
My metal standards are the new 45rpm reissue of metallica kill'em all, and the 'sabbath paranoid 180 reissue.
The mofi rush reissue of rush permanent waves and the simply vinyl 180 of nirvana never mind are both sterile and cd like in comparison.
Maybe it is a system thing, but I don't think so.
Are there stable great sounding rock/ metal/ thrash/grind recordings?
Is there a good resource for audiophile metal?

People there collect vinyl, write about all the differences between pressings, labels, reissues, what's stamped on the deadwax, etc.

My 14 year old daughter used the Loricraft with some vinylzyme with a chaser of l'art du son tonight on a used Black Sabbath Paranoid (formerly moldy) disc and it sounded surprisingly good!

Yes, the SV J Buckley is not so good.  You need to buy a subsequent reissue/remaster of "Grace":
Columbia C92881 released in 2004.
