Spendor SP1s -- REDUCED --$400/best offer-- local transaction in NYC

Here's the story:

Early serial number SP1s, functionally perfect. Cabinets were painted black by original owner. (I'm the second owner). A simple sand'n'stain on these and they'd look stunning (teak cabinets, I think). Surrounds are healthy and all drivers work great.

This pair sounded fantastic in a second system but I'm leaving nyc and can't bring these along--I would if I could!

Amazing sound for the $$, truly.

I'm in brooklyn but could meet in manhattan or nearby area.

I have a rating of 60 on a'gon, and 100+ on ebay.

Pictures coming tomorrow.

These are about an hour or two away from being gorgeous. Cabinets are very clean, grilles very good. Cover the fronts with plastic, hour with a hand sander (or less) hour applying some stain and you'd have beautiful classic speakers.

A lot of speaker for $500, and I'm open to offers...

are these still up for sale? i also would like to know the efficiency - I want to say 88db into 8 ohm - but not sure. I think the sp 1/2 were 89 db...

I"m back in NY for the next few days and ready to do this.

First priority to cash buyers, but will consider trades for small items that are easy to ship.

Delivery in the area is possible, but priority will go to someone who you can pick these up at my storage space in the bronx or at my GF's apt in brooklyn (flatbush).

I'm reviving this topic to let you know I'll be visiting nyc from Nov 7 until Nov 17.

These speakers are still for sale. They're located in my climate-controlled storage space in the bronx, so we'd meet there for handoff.

I'll require a 50% deposit in advance to make sure I don't ride the subway out to the bronx for nothing! It's also possible I could bring them to Brooklyn for pickup after receiving deposit.

Lastly, I have no immediate plans to relocate to the east coast, so even though my ad mentions trade I'm really only interested in cash, although I might consider small items that are easy to ship...
