I used to have the best primes:
1) 85 1.4 for portrait
2) 60 2.8G AFS for portrait and macro
3) 300 f4 AFs for wildlife and birding

You sold them? Man, these are on my alltime favorites list!

But then again, I don't have a D700. And I haven't had time to use them lately, so it's not all that clear to me that having them makes a lot of sense  anyway

I noticed at church this morning, the 70-200 2.8 seems to pull in more light than the 24-70 2.8, not sure why, but thats what I think. It was very low light
