I used to have the best primes:
1) 85 1.4 for portrait
2) 60 2.8G AFS for portrait and macro
3) 300 f4 AFs for wildlife and birding

You sold them? Man, these are on my alltime favorites list!

But then again, I don't have a D700. And I haven't had time to use them lately, so it's not all that clear to me that having them makes a lot of sense  anyway :bawl:

I went to the cabinet to get it out for you but an invisible hand grabbed me, spun me round, and slapped me until tears rolled out of my eyes and I begged forgiveness.

Sorry bro, I tried :(

my goodness......I would take the stick to that evil twin of yours........obviously the problem. But thanks for the effort. Maybe I can draw him away with a few dog's eye's, and while he is tucking in you can grab the lens for me :thumb:

I noticed at church this morning, the 70-200 2.8 seems to pull in more light than the 24-70 2.8, not sure why, but thats what I think. It was very low light

Mr C

Agreed. I just did the test between the two and noticed the same.
