This a near-mint example of the rare classic SS Marantz top-of-the-line preamplifier Esotec SC-9 from the 1980s. Unmarked champagne face. Controls feel nice. 2 phono inputs with adjustable MM and MC. Recently checked out.

More pictures available and I have feedback from many selling venues.  Easy pay and always packed double box.

Thanks, offers accepted. SOLD

It's beautiful. Two phono inputs: brilliant.
Just looking at silver and gold toned Marantz stuff with those wonderful fonts just takes my breath away.

If you don't count the Lloyds POS 8-track player that I really started with,
the 2230 was my "first" receiver! More pics??

The noted unit was my 1st separate, paired with a 105B tuner, both with the walnut cabinets. A Teac cassette, a pair of Advent Utilities (which I still have), and voila - a real stereo system.   aa  those were the days.
